Spring is almost here... though we've had some warm days early on, it's not fully spring yet. April will hopefully bring warmer weather and skaters will be at the current park having fun.
There is a lot of preparations that need to happen to get the new site ready for the spring 2025 building of the new skatepark! Geotech study showed the earth hast to be built up to hold the new concrete structure safely for a long lasting park. To do that, the site will be cleared of the already diseased trees, etc., so that filling in can happen. All good things take time, and this new park will be well worth all the years of fundraising and meetings and preparation! We just have to stay patient, focused, and have a few more good fundraisers!
